Professional Services Engineer (Fortinet Technologies)

Remote/Field-Based (Limited Travel)

Schedule: Monday to Friday with occasional weeknight and weekend work

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Professional Services Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on Fortinet technologies. In this role, you will work with a diverse range of organizations across the country, executing projects that enhance security infrastructure through the implementation of Fortinet solutions. Your expertise will be essential in auditing existing environments, replacing legacy systems, and ensuring seamless transitions to Fortinet fabric technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Project Execution: Lead the deployment and integration of Fortinet technologies, including but not limited to Fortigate Firewalls, Fortiswitches, FortiAPs, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiNAC, FortiWAF, FortiAuthenticator, FortiSIEM, FortiSASE, FortiClient, and FortiEMS.
2. Environment Auditing: Conduct comprehensive audits of existing infrastructures utilizing technologies from vendors such as Cisco, HP, and Palo Alto, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for migration to Fortinet solutions.
3. Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution, maintaining clear communication to manage expectations and project timelines.
4. Technical Expertise: Apply in-depth technical knowledge to troubleshoot issues, optimize configurations, and provide ongoing support for Fortinet solutions.
5. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed project documentation, including design specifications, implementation guides, and post-deployment reports.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
7. Training and Mentoring: Provide training and support to clients and junior team members on Fortinet technologies and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Proven experience in deploying and managing Fortinet technologies.
3. Strong knowledge of networking concepts and experience with Cisco, HP, and Palo Alto environments.
4. Exceptional project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
6. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy in all aspects of work.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
8. Relevant certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE 7, 8, FCSS, FCX, Cisco CCNP or CCIE) are a plus.
